More than 20,000 members learned about our state’s Director and DECA’s biggest advocate for continued success at the International Development Conferences held in Orlando, FL in April 2019. 

Kevin Reisenauer has dedicated his career and life to marketing education and DECA, contributing more than 40 years to the organization. His affiliation with DECA started when he was in high school where he served as chapter president and state reporter. He continued his involvement in college and started teaching marketing education, serving as a local DECA chapter advisor for 22 years. During his last five years as a chapter advisor, he also served as the DECA and Collegiate DECA state advisor for North Dakota. For the past 17 years, he has served as the supervisor for marketing education for North Dakota Career and Technical Education.

While serving as an association advisor, Kevin has committed time and energy at the international level. He served on the Secondary Council as a local advisor, which was his first stint on the national level. He has taken on many roles with DECA Inc. He served five terms (15 years) on the Board of Directors, three of which were as the President of the Board. He also served on the Collegiate Council and the Secondary Task Force. He was a member of the Competitive Events Task Force and the liaison to the National Advisory Board. He chaired the Competitive Events Task Force for two years and served as an event coordinator for both the high school and college ICDCs. He was the Chairperson of the Executive Officer Elections at both the high school and college conferences for more than ten years.

He currently serves as the Chairperson of the MBAResearch Board of Directors, a partner with DECA to prepare the performance indicators for our competitive events.

With a visionary philosophy and an educational mindset, Kevin has developed programs to strengthen student learning experiences, leadership opportunities, and business partnerships. The true results of his leadership involvement in DECA are the thousands of individuals’ lives that he has changed because of their DECA Experiences.
