Two North Dakota DECA members have earned top honors and qualified in their Virtual Business Challenge events!

Congratulations to BAYLOR ANTTILA from Grand Forks Central and RYAN HERMES from Southeast Region Career and Technical Center in Oakes.

Baylor, a junior marketing student, joined DECA in 2018 and has been a Virtual Business Challenge competitor for both years, but in different tracks.

Ryan serves as a North Dakota DECA Vice President and is a fourth year competitor in the Challenge. He is a 4-time ICDC qualifier in the Virtual Business Challenge!

DECA high school members are able to participate in all seven tracks of this online event. The options are:

VBC Fashion
VBC Accounting
DECA Hotel Challenge
VBC Personal Finance
VBC Restaurant
VBC Retailing
VBC Sports

Each track encourages DECA members to test their skills within its particular Virtual Business environment – individually or as a team of up to 3 members.

Baylor and Ryan both qualified to compete against the top competitors from around the world in Virtual Business Challenge at the 2020 International Career Development Conference which takes place in Nashville.

Baylor will be competing in Hotel Management VBC and Ryan will be competing in Personal Finance VBC.
